Kernohan Engineering partnered with international aquaculture innovator Gigablue to design, test, and deliver large inflatable sea pens for open-ocean deployment off the coast of Dunedin. Our team led the project from concept through to production, managing prototyping, sea trials, full fabrication, logistics, and on-site vessel setup.

Designed and installed soft cover roof structures with access hatches for four open tanks at Rabbit Island, reducing odour while meeting structural and budget requirements.
