At Kernohan Engineering, we are solving problems that matter – from precision fabrication to emergency repairs. With innovation, quality, and reliability at our core, we keep industries running efficiently.

We've delivered exceptional engineering for over 50 years, starting in the fishing industry, where on-time, on-budget service is critical. Today, we support diverse industries with flexible, customer-focused solutions. Our expertise spans maintenance, fabrication, machined parts, and certified pipe welding, alongside key products like stillage racking and fall protection. With an in-house design team, we stay at the cutting edge of innovation, partnering with New Zealand’s leading companies across timber, manufacturing, infrastructure, marine, dairy, mining, and more.

At the heart of Kernohan lies our 70+ strong team. Often working 24/7 to meet customer needs. From CAD specialists and welders to project managers and designers, we bring a wealth of expertise. Committed to skill development, we've trained over 35 apprentices and continue investing in industry talent.
