Trawl Doors, KEL Super Vee and Super Foil

KEL Trawl Doors have been extensively tested by the Australian Maritime College , both in flume tanks and offshore, on RV Bluefin.

Constructed weights from 250kg to 2,800kg.
Scanmar mounts for all sizes of doors can be fitted or supplied.

General

Doors are fitted with a pivoting towing bracket. Ballast is included to suit mid or deep water use .

Standard Sizes

Doors are manufactured in a range of sizes from 2.5m2 to 10m2 in the Super Vee configuration.

KEL Super V Trawl Doors This versatile trawl door has a high aspect ratio with a vee profile, which enables it to control its own position in the water and permits stability. The door has a symmetrical shape, so they can be used on either port or starboard sides, simply by changing the towing bracket position

KEL Super Foil Trawl Doors This design gives a greater spread of the doors. Less drag through the water means greater fuel saving.
