Fall Protection
Kernohan Engineering Ltd. is proud to be New Zealand's agent for MSA Fall Protection Systems and equipment. Fall Protection is used in many industrial situations.
We are focussed on the three systems; Sure-Rail™ Horizontal Fixed Rail, Latchways Mansafe® Horizontal Lifeline and Vertical Ladder Latch, and Saferidge™/ Safetraxx Systems.
- The Latchways Mansafe® Horizontal Lifeline is designed to operate horizontally, around corners, and up or down inclines to offer continuous worker protection. The Ladder Latch system is used for all vertical climbs, e.g. towers or ladders. Latchways systems come complete with computer program for design loads etc. (See also www.latchways.com)
- The patented Saferidge™ and Safetraxx Systems are designed to provide fall protection on sloped roofs. They combine a fall protection system with the waterproof and venting characteristics of a traditional roof ridge section. The Safetraxx system can be mounted anywhere on the roof without the need for penetrations. (See also www.saferidge.com)
- The Sure-Rail™ system is a rigid rail horizontal lifeline system typically used in areas when there is limited clearance below the working surface.
Some features of the Latchways Ladder Latch:
- Continuous protection while climbing or descending
- Allows complete hands free movement
- Prevents a fall by locking immediately
- Follows the contours of a ladder or tower
- Does not hinder climbing ability.
All systems can be designed to suit individual needs.
